Abdominal Bracing
Abdominal bracing is simply the best abdominal exercise there
is.
The reason this exercise is so effective is due to the fact it
forces your abdominals to activate, even if the individual doing
the exercise cannot activate their abdominals on their own. 75% of
people cannot stand and tense their abdominal muscles by the age of
20 years. This percentage rate is appauling. There are many reasons
for this however the most significant reason is most people have
terrible physical awareness.
- Use a tricep pushdown machine and triangle bar.
- Begin with 25 kilo's resistance.
- Take the weight and tuck your elbows in by your sides.
- Tuck your bottom under to load your entire abdominal wall (this
is very important).
- Hold still against the resistance for one minute.
- Breath naturally.
Abdominal bracing is a very safe and demanding core exercise. If
you can do 3 one minute sets of this exercise using 40 kilo's of
resistance your abdominals are strong.
